New Blood

Well, time has indeed got the better of me, and for that I apologize. For whom I'm apologizing to, I'm not quite sure there. Myself, I suppose? Either way, I am back to doing this with newfound gusto. But I suppose a bit of catch-up would help.

I simply lost interest between 2010-2011 up to now to really post anything. I made another blog with pretty much the same idea in mind, but that was short-lived and I regret even trying that at least. There was no reason for me to even start that up in the first place, given that this was just as competent at storing my thoughts and everything else. Lately, I've been having the desire to write down my thoughts and critical views on games, and so that is the main reason for this. That was my desire in the first place, and that hasn't changed. Just, the format for this may change some.

So what brought on the reawakened vigor within me to write lengthy walls of text with no one to read it? I could actually blame my English class that I took last year. Oh, and yeah, I'm in college now, so that's another distraction. But one of the articles we had to read was taking video games and comparing them as pieces of art. I would have to agree to an extent that some of the games of the past, present, and potentially the future are definitely holding my heart strings with their story telling, dynamic gameplay, and sometimes even the graphics. But if you play a game for the graphics alone... then we're not friends. :(

Within this time, I've purchased a Playstation 3 and an XBox One, with some choice games on both that I'm definitely going to take my time to write about when I get to it. But I'm also going to start fresh on this blog, and that means a restructuring of labels, removal of posts, and all that, so expect to see changes (or don't expect it if you get too late). There will be other things that are posted on this as well, just a matter of what catches my attention and when, really. I am going to definitely attempt to keep this as a weekly matter, as it will be a nice focus and definitely help me with my inability to finish certain things sometimes (mostly hobbies). Given that gaming is more than just a simple hobby to me, I feel that I should incorporate my own personal yet professionally phrased opinions on the gaming industry's attempts.

Along with that, you will also find that I have shameless plugs between this and my YouTube channel, which I am also hoping to update more often. I have small pieces here and there already on there, but definitely not to the level that I want it to be at the moment. At the same time, I don't know if I will ever develop the editing skills to make it look a lot better, but time will tell as I continue to play around with what I have currently available to me. The link will be available at the bottom to take you to my channel.

With that, I'm going to leave this with a hint of what's to come next week: a young man and a furry partner team up to unearth the past. Look for it Wednesday, when I will be keeping this updated.
